ROUNDTABLE

What is the Roundtable?

The Adirondack Arts in Education Roundtable (AER) is a group comprised of interested school administrators, educators, teaching artists, non-profits, parents and AIE enthusiasts who meet periodically to decide how to best serve the AIE needs of the Adirondack Region through professional development and networking opportunities, outreach, technical assistance and Arts in Education Advocacy.

The Roundtable also serves as an extension of, and natural link to, the LCB program. Members gather in locations throughout the Adirondacks to establish goals, collaborate on ideas for workshops, and to come up with action plans that will benefit the AIE community as a whole. In some cases, Roundtable members have applied and are LCB recipients themselves! (Please note that being an AER member has no influence on funding outcomes for LCB. Proposals are evaluated by a separate panel of individuals who assess projects on the basis of merit and feasibility.)

Membership in the Adirondack AER is open to anyone with a vested interest in the educational offerings for the youth in the northernmost region of NY. Benefits include idea exchange, networking with other interested AIE constituents (including teaching artists, teachers and cultural organizations), access to relevant AIE happenings and other events, permission to post events on the AAIEP calendar, food(!), and perhaps most importantly, the power to affect positive change in the educational landscape of our region.

Interested? Contact the Coordinator for more information!
