The Local Capacity Building Initiative (LCB) is a type of Arts in Education regrant program administered by specific sites across New York State to provide local support for participation in Arts in Education. As an established LCB site, the Adirondack Arts in Education Partnership
(AAIEP) administers these matching grants throughout Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton and Warren counties in support of partnerships between North Country schools and local teaching artists or cultural organizations. Projects focus on the integrated study of the arts and non-arts subjects and involve direct collaboration between classroom teachers and teaching artists who use a co-teaching method to integrate the arts into the curriculum.
