ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP

The Adirondack Arts in Education Partnership (AAIEP) was founded in January 2004 for the purpose of cultivating quality arts-based programs in North Country schools throughout Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton - and most recently - Warren counties in New York. Grants are available through its Local Capacity Building (LCB) Arts in Education regrant program to support partnerships between schools and regional teaching artists or cultural organizations that incorporate the study of the arts and non-arts subjects.

To date, the AAIEP has benefited nearly 3,500 students and helped to increase spending for AIE programming by almost $100,000 throughout 18 school districts (24 schools) region-wide! Click here to view funded proposals...

In 2004-2005 the AAIEP also established a regional Arts in Education Roundtable (AER) made up of interested non-profit organizations, artists and schools that meets periodically to discuss how it can best meet the needs of area schools, teaching artists, cultural organizations and interested constituents through professional development and networking opportunities, outreach, technical assistance and Arts in Education advocacy.

The AAIEP is a program of the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts and is supported with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency.
